Brielle and Finnella looking for books on CD I haven’t blogged for six months! I have lots of good reasons/excuses, depending on how you look at it. But I miss it and I enjoy it and I am doing it for me, so I’m back! It’s hard to let go of expectations–like how blogging has Carry on!
Ten is a first born. Ten loves a schedule, solitude and creativity. Ten writes novels and stories and plays and journals and songs. Ten fills notebooks and loses them. Ten loves to play piano and sing. Ten practices regularly without being reminded. Ten needs lots of reminders when she’s on kitchen zone. Ten loves to Carry on!
Elivette has been spending meals in her chair, instead of someone’s lap. Ok, to be perfectly honest, she has been starting the meal in her chair, and ends up in someone’s lap. She doesn’t like it when she accidentally gets food in her mouth, but she sure has fun smooshing it around. Cadrian has become Carry on!
So grateful my middle girl got baptized yesterday. She’s six. She committed her life to God last March 22. In the Bible, people came to the Lord and were baptized that same day. We don’t really do that in our church culture so she had to wait. It was a very long wait. Yesterday the Carry on!
This girl consistently challenges me. She makes me a bigger person. She helps me learn more patience. She fills my brain with jibber-jabber and my heart to overflowing. She creates more empathy and compassion in those around her. She teaches me more about passion and joy and excitement. I love her heart. Her zeal and Carry on!
I put her clothes in her closet as an outfit–you know, her pants and shirt on the same hanger. And still, I realize we end up looking like this more days than not. *shrug* At least she’s got a style all her own.
She is a corker all right. She painted a beautiful picture. Then laid it on the cream colored living room rug to dry. I didn’t realize until later, she had completely painted BOTH sides of her paper! I told her probably more sternly than necessary that she couldn’t lay her painting on the carpet. After Carry on!
You can see how much she’s changed in the last year, by seeing last year’s interview here.
I have the Grouchiest Kid in the Metro Area. And possibly the state. Could be the country, but I kinda doubt it. We entered this picture in a Grouchiest Kid contest. And WON. I know you’re not surprised!
Aviana is off at “Cousin Camp” (more on that later), and Brielle and I have really enjoyed our two hour block in the morning when Cadrian is napping. Yesterday, we did some shaving cream fun. Some art. Some reading. Some snuggling. Truly appreciating each other. She made that “B” all by herself! We also did some Carry on!
