For Today…

Outside my Window…the sky is beginning to take on its first vestiges of day and silhouettes of trees are beginning to be seen.

I am thinking…surely allergy season must be coming to a close! and of all the things I want to get done before the girls get home from their overnight stay at Grandma’s

From the learning rooms…we’ll be focusing this week on fall and common sayings (slippery as an eel for example)

I am thankful for…my husband, who loves me so broadly and simply and truly

From the kitchen…coffee with hazelnut creamer

I am wearing…a pale pink sweatshirt and plaid flannel pants which don’t go and bare feet

I am reading…Winter Haven and Scaling Down

I am hoping…Kevin will be able to get into the field to chop this week (that means he will cut and chop up the entire stalk of corn to put in the silos to feed the cattle this winter)

I am creating…an Our Alphabet book at Winkflash from the past couple of years of pictures…A is for Aunts, with photos of the girls and their aunts; B is for Baby, accompanied by yep, baby pictures; C is for Cousins, ect…

I am hearing…an annoyingly close cricket…ever notice that a field of crickets is soothing, but one will drive you batty?

Around the house…trying to stay caught up on the picking up and laundry–have several baby outfits that are already too small to exchange–hope to purchase and plant some mums–want to get the book nook sorted and donate some books to the library’s book sale

One of my favorite things…is nuzzling with Cadrian

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week…a trip to Iowa City for a midwife appointment and play day with a friend and her daughter, a haircut for me (I’m really not digging this last style I got), a riverboat cruise with my husband, a girls’ night of scrapbooking

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…

What are children for, if not entertainment?

  1. I thought about this yesterday… I was reminding myself to do it!!!

    But, I forgot.

    So typical!

I also forgot not to lock my keys in the van.

Some things I forget are far worse than others.

LOVE the picture of your handsome little man.

I hope you accomplish all you want to before the girls come back home!
