New…

New picture of my three little darlings. I tried four different photo sessions this day. I bribed the girls from their candy bags each time, and they did as well as I could expect.

Funny, candy provided no motive for cooperation for the littlest. All the shots turned out essentially like this:
New ‘Do–I started cutting my hair during this pregnancy and now I can’t seem to stop!

Cadrian’s new swing arrived yesterday. I love it! It is super duper soft, and he can just nestle into it. I love the little lamb’s ears attached to the headpiece, such a cute touch.
The first time we put him in it, he screamed and screamed. I took him out and nursed him.
The second time I put him in it, he smiled and it wasn’t long before he fell asleep.
We put him in it again this morning in a quiet content state, and he fell asleep.

He watches himself in the mirror and is mesmerized by the not annoying music and mobile. Aviana insists he needs the toy bar, but I’m not sure he’s ready for that yet.

We got home this afternoon and he was crying inconsolably, so I put him in it again while I carried in groceries, and…he fell asleep!

Our little product tester and his mama are very pleased with this swing.
New skills–Aviana drew this picture of the United States. She included Cuba–or maybe that’s Puerto Rico. She didn’t know which island she drew; she said it was Texas. Nevertheless, I was indubitably impressed with her geography skills.

  1. Very cute haircut. My daughter has a similar swing and it is a life saver. Except our grandson is almost 17 pounds now so he is outgrowing it fast. But he slept alot in it.
    You will really enjoy it.
Thanks for coming by and visiting me at my journey.
    Have a Blessed week.

  2. Wow, Aviana did such a great job on the drawing! And that swing looks so nice. I wish I would’ve had one with Maddie.
And I love your girls’ dresses. They always have the cutest outfits!

  3. That picture of the kids is great! I love that he’s kinda fussy in it- is that horrible? I cherish pictures like that when I look back at them years later. It shows you how things really were day to day, and that makes me smile 🙂

On another note, your hair is awesome! Love the cut, LOVE the color! You’re a hot Mamma!

  4. Oh. My. Goodness!! I love your hair! It looks wonderful. I used to have mine cut kind of like that, and I loved it.

Oh, yeah, and the kids aren’t too ugly, either. 🙂

  5. I’ve got that style swing in the rainforest design for our second. Found it used at a consignment store and can’t wait to use it. I ended up cutting my hair shorter and shorter also during my first pregnancy. Have kept it long this time because husband didn’t think the short ‘do worked for me, but yours looks great.

  6. Love the picture of your kiddos! It was amazing how much more difficult photo sessions became when we had our second child. I can only imagine how it will be once the new baby arrives! I also love your hair. I am ready for a big change…one that will force me to actually do my hair and not throw it in a ponytail!

  7. Ok, her eyes are gorgeous in that first pic. WOW!

Your hair looks great! And I gotta say, I am super impressed that you just had a baby and your face is super skinny! I had a bit of the double chin thing going on, but you look fabulous.

The swing is our best friend. Lexi is almost 7 months and she still will not nap anywhere else. (she sleeps in her crib though, go figure)

  8. Your hair looks SO awesome!!! I am so scared to get my hair cut short, I pull it up in a ponytail almost all the time and don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t! I know how hard it is to get a good photo with a handful of children. Maybe you’ll have to have a professional do it….or bribe Kevin to entertain them, while you take the photos! 😉

  9. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME? I’VE CHOPPED MY HAIR SEVERAL TIMES, ONLY TO LET IT GROW LONG AGAIN…..AND NOW IT’S LONG AGAIN, AND I’VE BEEN FIGHTING THE URGE…..AND YOU GO AND POST A PIC OF A CUTE CUT THAT MAKES ME WANT TO WHACK IT ALL OFF!!! 🙂 LOVE IT, LADY!

  10. Love the new do! I got mine just back into a bobbish length but layered. Again. My standard “fall” do. I’d love to do something crazy but…

I love the picture of the three of them -how very “real life” – oh, that would be a good one- on the spot portraits. Bwah, ha,ha- the more kids the funnier those would be.

    He is getting SO big.
