I’ve been saving up

More from Little Miss A:

***Aviana leaves her teddy in the bathroom.
Me: Don’t you want to bring teddy with you?
Her: No. He’s in time out.
Me: Oh? What did he do?
Her: He was naughty. He keeps getting out of bed.

At least she knows it’s naughty. Not that it stops her from trying.

***We start playing “I Spy” in the car for the very first time. Aviana can only see out the side window and most things speed by her too fast for her to really catch them.

Me: I spy… a mailbox.
Her: I tan’t see dat right now.
(pause)
Her: Say “I Spy” adin Mama.

Me: I spy…a white house.
Her: I tan’t see dat right now.
(pause)
Her: Say “I Spy” adin Mama.

Me: I spy…some goats.
Her: I tan’t see dat right now.
(pause)
Her: Say “I Spy” adin Mama.

FOR LIKE, AN HOUR! Why is this fun for her? Still, pretty funny.

***She’s recently started saying “Oh” and “Whoa!”

Like, “What’s that for?
Me: To mail a letter.
Her: Oh.

Her: Whoa! That’s a big bite!

It just makes her seem so grown up.

***We got an ABC book A is for Annabelle.
In it, it reads, “I is for India, from whence came her shawl”

Her: What’s India, Mama?
Me: It’s a country. Like we live in the United States, and Dr. Ana lives in Norway, and Nikolas lives in France. Those are all countries.
Her: (nodding wisely)Oh. We know a song about India.
Me: (clueless) We do??
Her: Yes. One widdle, two widdle, free widdle Indians…
