We’re invited to a fabulous fondue party tonight. How do I know it will be fabulous? I just got off the phone with the hostess. It’s 4:05 p.m. The party starts at 6. Another one of the invited couples is still at the hospital because she had a heart attack yesterday. Yet, they’re planning on being at the party! It must be some fantastic fondue!
So how was it? Did you do chocolate or cheese or what? I’ve got a fondue “fountain”, a small scale one, but have never used it…
Shame on me, huh!? I’d love to go to a party and see what it’s all about.
It was a lot of fun! Especially since Aviana spent the night with Grandma, and everyone at the party wanted to hold the baby. We had creamed chipped beef & pizza fondue with bread cubes, crackers and chips. We also had a chocolate fountain with clementines, bananas, apples, pears, potato chips and angel food cake cubes.
We’ve also done it with hot oil and steak, and cheese and bread.
I like it too when we have a fondue potluck, when everyone brings some unique yumminess.
And the heart attack girl was doing just fine–she’s off work for a few days, but her doctor’s don’t think it will happen again.
Wow, you guys went all out, and you do it all the time, sounds like! Guess I should look into it more seriously!
Thanks for sharing!
Well, not all the time, or even frequently, but it is a lot of fun, and out of the norm. Definately go for it!
