Aviana & I did a bit of sewing this morning. I actually converted a double layer shirt I got for a quarter at a garage sale into a nursing shirt. It isn’t perfect, but it is serviceable &; I am pretty darn proud of myself. The look on my face is due to the fact it took about 20 snaps to arrive at this pic. It’s a lot harder taking a pic of myself in the mirror than I ever thought! You try it!
Later on, Aviana got her first jeep ride to go watch the game. We went over to Kevin’s parents’ since we don’t have satellite & the game was on ESPN. The ‘Clones were winning the first half but somehow the Hawks picked it up in the second to come out on top. I don’t really care one way or another (although you should note that my alma mater won their game). I was delighted to hear head coach Kurt Ferentz say that Parenting is the most important job in the world. i constantly need to be reaffirmed of that. Yesterday in my quiet time, God Himself told me the same thing in Ecclesiastes 3. “That’s it–eat, drink, and make the most of your job. It’s God’s gift.”
Grandma kept Aviana because she wanted to play with her a while and hadn’t gotten the chance to for a whole week. After I got Brielle napping, I went outside to enjoy the gorgeous fall day, and supervise the installation of the chicken run Kevin built to connect the pen to the Martin corn crib, so our ladies will have more room to roam without getting eaten. We went to church, then bought K a bike, got home and after many sundry chores and what not, went to bed.
