Helping

The girls love to help me in the kitchen. I (usually) love to let them, even though it is so much faster and easier to make dinner while they watch Curious George. Here they are making Salisbury Steak (*****). Aviana thought it would better to make one great big huge steak, so that’s what we had. She has been “helping” me since before she was Brielle’s age, and now she genuinely helps. It gives me hope that Brielle will eventually be a helper too.

We did have a slight mishap, which still makes me sad, in that when Aviana lifted the tray to show me her handiwork, she knocked my Pampered Chef Batter Bowl to the ground and it shattered into a trillion pieces. I can’t just can’t live without my Pampered Chef Batter Bowl! (*places back of hand to forehead and swoons dramatically*)

In case you are wondering what she is wearing: I made her a wrap to match mine. I don’t “wear” Brielle or Aviana anymore, but Aviana still loves to carry one of her dolls or stuffed animals -in this case Koala- around every once in a while.

  1. They are too cute!!! 🙂 Thanks for the comment on my blog! Your idea is great as well! Love the idea of being able to be more flexible with your meals! 🙂

  2. Beautiful! I love little helper children. They really can take a load off. The other day, my 3 year old niece washed dishes for me while I picked up around the house. It was perfect!
