Frosty fraught with challenges kind of day and none of them were even because of the toddler 🙂
Kevin had asked me to run a load of laundry every day so we could prevent the pipes to the washer from freezing. I was feeling quite proud of myself for remembering, and for noticing that there was a slight delay in the start of the water, indicative of some freezing on the line. And I remembered to tell Kevin.
Several hours later, he noticed the washer was buzzing. Slightly. I guess the cold water line was frozen and I didn’t realize it. And I took the clothes out unrinsed because I thought the load was done, and it couldn’t finish the rinse on cold cycle because it was frozen. So he was pretty irritated with me about that.
Still later, I flooded the kitchen. I thought I had put a pan of water on the stove to boil, but I must have gotten distracted by one of the little darlin’s because really, I had left the pot under the faucet with the water running, and it had tilted enough that it was pouring all over the counter, down the crack between the stove and the counter, all over the floor and somehow flooded all under the sink too.
We were both pretty irritated with me about that.
