A fine fall day

It was wonderful to take the girls to “Market Days”. It was grand to see Aviana in real clothes with her hair fixed. We only stayed for a couple hours, but it was a huge blessing to get out of the house, especially because the last few days have been extremely emotionally taxing, what with all the whining and crying (including my own whining and crying). We ate lunch provided by the Boy Scouts, had some hot cocoa, listened to a band, bought a nifty hand crafted candle, and a love seat which will be perfect for our Book Nook in the hobbit room. Both girls took long naps, after which we snuggled on the couch and watched Annie and The Wonderful Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Definitely a better day.

That was yesterday–

today the whining is back in full force, but Kevin was home all day, which helped immensely. We had some friends out for dinner too so that was a welcome distraction. Aviana refused to get out of her jammas at all today, and complained her tummy hurt more.

It’s so hard to figure out if she’s for real or if she’s just plying for attention and coddling. I am trying to give her the benefit of the doubt while constantly addressing and correcting her tone, but it is. SO. Stinkin’. Hard.
