Exciting News!

Why do I have a box of Country magazines on my counter?

Because it features the Farm Fresh Family!!

And, I just found out, I’m getting paid for writing this to boot! Could I BE more excited???? I hardly think so!

This is a fabulous magazine-in general, not just this issue, and not just because they published me!–It’s not at newsstands yet, according to my source (my aunt, who bless her heart, checked at two bookstores today), but bug your Barnes & Noble frequently, it’ll be there soon!

  1. It was wonderful to “meet” you and your family. We drove out to stay with friends in northern Missouri and ring in the New Year…they work in Iowa. Please visit my blog, too!

  2. I loved your article. I grew up on a dairy in California, and I miss that life so much. We recently moved into an old farmhouse (1917) that sits on 12 acres. It’s awesome being back in the country. We even have a goat. She’s not very bright.

    Hello!

I just finished reading about your family in Country magazine and enjoyed it very much! You have a precious family! We are also a Christian family in rural VA (4 sons and a daughter due in 3 weeks). We are getting ready to move even further out in the country and try our hands at “hobby farming”. Our oldest son plans to start with an egg business. Hope all goes well with your pregnancy…we will add your blog to our favorites!

I loved your article so much that I wanted to see your blog. You really draw people due to your writing and your humor. Your kids are adorable. I live on a farm in Cherry Valley IL. Sounds like you and your family have your hands full but it looks like you have some time to enjoy each other and have a good time. Congrats on your pregnancy! Love your blog. You are real and thanks for sharing that along with your faith. —Carrie K.

Loved your article in Country magazine! We live on a much smaller farm than yours in rural Colorado, but found that we have lots in common. We have two girls and I am also active in MOPS. It’s funny that complete strangers can lead such parallel lives!

Congratulations!!! Your dad told me the good news at church this am. I looked for the article on Country Magazine’s website but it wasn’t available there so I’ll try to find a hard copy today. I’ve enjoyed reading some of your blog and now am very anxious to find your Country piece. Terry
