And yet more fun to be had

After we got home last night and got all the chitlin’s to bed, BIL Tony suggested watching SciFi. It was absolutely hilarious watching this movie with some of the people I love best in the world. We then watched Arachnid, which while better than Ice Spiders, was still not yet on a scale of 1-10. Actually, I fell asleep after the guy vomited out alien spider reptile babies, but Leah and Tony told me how it ended. Sometimes, sharing “cheesy” with the people you love is the best way to spend an evening.

This morning was relaxing, as we didn’t have to be to church until 10:30. We made pancakes and sausages. Leah gave the three toddlers a bath. I took a leisurely shower. I forget, sometimes, how nice it is to have people around, especially people who we are totally comfortable with, and who we completely trust.

Church was great. This guy is so thought provoking and insightful. Nevermind SMART. I’m still puzzling over some of what he taught today. But nevertheless, the crux of it is: Love like Jesus did.

Then we headed to the park for some playing and picnicking, football and disc golf. My brother committed a AFHV moment when he caught the football and landed on the picnic table, spilling the huge cooler of lemonade, and ended up sprawled on the ground, wet and sticky, still holding the football. Too bad no one had a camera running.

I ran into a friend from high school there; she was having a birthday party for her youngest, who is about seven weeks older than Aviana. I hadn’t seen her for like, nine years, although we do exchange Christmas cards.

After a little more hanging out, we drove home. Aviana fell asleep before we left town and Brielle fussed, and then screamed, nearly the entire drive. We planted the flowers/plants my mom sent home with us (Brielle only ate a little dirt this time, and just two rocks), weeded a bit, and now everyone is at rest.
